Recuerdos: Recuerdo cuando pequeña a todas mis tìas con barbilla.  Recuerdo a mi madre afeitándose la barbilla.  Recuerdo tambien, cuando yo, después de haber tratado cremas depiladoras por años, hasta no poder usarlas mas porque quemaban mi piel, decidì afeitarme por primera vez.  Mas que nada, recuerdo como me sentìa mientras afeitaba mi carita joven.  Sentìa vergüenza a pesar de que nadie sabìa “mi secreto” ya que no se notaba a la distancia.

Hello, my name is Ana.  I was the happiest young girl up until I turned 16 years of age when I noticed an abundance of facial hair appear on my face. As everyone knows, this stage of development is a most sensitive and emotional one for any young person, but especially a girl.  The hair began on my cheeks but soon afterward I noticed it on my upper lip area and my chin.  The most logical thing to do was to let my hair grow long to cover the cheek area at least.  I hoped this would minimize my feelings of being so embarased when I noticed people staring at me.

Hola, mi nombre es Ana.  Desde niña yo era una joven muy alegre.  Pero esto cambiò a la edad de 16 años.  En este tiempo muy importante de mi adolescencia, me di cuenta de la cantidad de vellos que aparecìan en mi cara dìa tras dìa.  Los vellos comenzaron a crecer en mis mejillas, y luego a otras partes de mi cara.  Decidì dejarme crecer el cabello para que me tapara el area porque sentìa vergüenza cuando notaba que personas me miraban extrañamente.
